An Garda Síochána have asked for the cooperation of those involved in today's water-charges protest as they announced traffic restrictions and road closures.
Garda management have liaised closely with the organisers and said they would facilitate a peaceful protest in every way possible.
Those attending the protest are requested to use Merrion Square East as their approach route.
A number of roads will be closed to traffic including Kildare Street and Molesworth Street. Local access to these streets will be maintained in order to facilitate businesses residents in the areas.
Parking restrictions will be in place in Merrion Square from early morning to provide adequate space and a safe environment for those protesting. Tens of thousands are expected to attend.

Some local traffic disruptions can be expected as groups of protesters make their way to Merrion Square. Gardaí have urged drivers in the vicinity of protestors to exercise care and also urged protesters to be careful.
