Gardaí investigating man's disappearance extend man's detention

A man being questioned over the disappearance of a man from Wicklow has had his period of detention extended until Monday.
The man in his twenties is being held at Bray garda station since he was arrested a week ago.
Meanwhile, a post mortem examination is underway this afternoon on the body of a man found in a shallow grave near Red Cross in Wicklow on Christmas Eve.
It is thought it may be the body of 26-year-old Stephen O'Meara, who has been missing for over four months.
Gardaí say the results of the post mortem are unlikely to be made public for operational reasons.
