Gardaí investigating dissident activity arrest pair in Dublin
Two men have been arrested in Dublin by police probing dissident republicanism.
The raid at James Street was part of ongoing investigations into the activities of suspected insurgents in Dublin and Limerick.
Gardaí attached to the special detective unit and the crime and security section arrested one suspect aged in his 30s and one in his 60s.
Two handguns were also recovered at the scene and will be subject to technical examination.
In a follow up search yesterday afternoon in the Limerick area a quantity of ammunition was also recovered.
Investigations are ongoing.
