Gardaí investigating alleged Sligo sex assault
03/07/2012 - 09:55:59Gardaí have launched an investigation after an alleged sexual assault was reported in Strandhill, Co Sligo.
It is understood the woman, who is believed to Australian, was walking alone on the beach when she was attacked by two men in the sand dunes just after midnight last Thursday.
The woman was brought to the sexual assault unit at Letterkenny General Hospital, Ocean FM reported.
Gardaí say they are continuing to investigate the matter.
