Gardaí investigate two fatal shootings in Dublin

Two men have been shot dead in Dublin in a nine-hour period.

A 33-year-old man was shot dead in Kippure Park in Finglas shortly after midnight.

Gardaí say the victim was from the area and that they are looking for one gunman.

They are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them at Finglas garda station.

It is the second fatal shooting in Dublin in less than 24 hours.

Gardaí launched a murder investigation after 34-year-old Anthony Foster was gunned down yesterday afternoon as he left his flat at Cromcastle Court in Coolock.

Investigating gardaí described the killing as brutal and callous.

They are awaiting the results of a post-mortem exam.
