Gardaí investigate theft of hazardous insulation bales from Louth building site

Gardaí are investigating the theft of 20 insulation bales from a building site in County Louth.

The bales were taken from Strand Road in Termonfeckin sometime over the last four days.

Gardaí say that if they are set alight the smoke and fumes would be toxic.

They also said the bales have the potential to cause harm to the health of anyone coming into contact with them without appropriate breathing apparatus.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
