Gardaí in Co Louth have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a house near Dundalk this evening.

Gardaí in Co Louth have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a house near Dundalk this evening.

The alarm was raised at around 7:30pm when gunshots were heard coming from the home in Knockbridge Village.

There were no reports of any injuries, and the scene has been preserved for a full technical examination.

No arrest have been made and Gardaí say their investigation is ongoing.
