Gardaí are investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman after her body was found in a flat in Dublin yesterday evening.

Gardaí are investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman after her body was found in a flat in Dublin yesterday evening.

The discovery was made at a flat at Liberty House, Dublin 1 at approximately 7pm yesterday.

Gardaí said the woman may have been involved in an assault outside a fast food outlet on Parnell Street at approximately 3.20am on Sunday morning.

Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses to this incident or to any person who may have information to contact Store Street Garda Station on 01-666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
