The body of a 50-year-old woman has been found in Bray, Co Wicklow.

The woman's body was discovered in the house on the Southern Cross Road in an estate on the outskirts of Bray town at about 1.30am today.

Gardaí have sealed off the scene pending a forensic examination, and are this morning interviewing residents here at the Deepdales Estate.

The body of the woman - who was 50 - was found at a house

Gardaí were notified shortly after half past one this morning.

The house itself has been sealed off as Officers investigate the circumstances surrounding her death - and a forensic examination has been underway here for a number of hours.

The office of state pathologist has been notified.
