A section of parkland in Clondalkin in Dublin is sealed off today after an alleged sex assault overnight.

A female cyclist reported being raped by the side of the road near parkland, after three men pulled her off her bike into nearby bushes.

The incident happened at around 3.20am on the Ninth Lock Road near the junction with the Neilstown Road.

No arrests have been made, but Gardaí at Ronanstown are appealing for witnesses.

Any person with information, particularly motorists, taxi drivers or pedestrians, is asked to contact Ronanastown garda station on 01-666-7700.
