CCTV footage is being gathered by gardaí investigating the death of a man in Dublin yesterday evening.
The 46-year-old man, who has been named by gardaí as Stephen Moran, a native of Limerick, was shot at his home on Earlsfort View in Lucan.
He was discovered by gardaí in the front garden of his home in Earlsfort View in Lucan at around 7.30pm.
He was removed to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post mortem examination is underway by the Assistant State Pathologist Margot Bolster this afternoon.
Meanwhile, gardaí are also examining a car which was found burnt-out near the scene at Glenvale in Lucan.
Superintendent David Taylor from the Garda Press Office is leading the investigation.
"There was extensive CCTV footage around his home. We're currently harvesting that CCTV and CCTV from the scene where the car was found burnt out, and CCTV from the routes from the scene to where the car was burnt out," he said.
