Gardaí continue to question two men over Tullow body find

Two men being questioned over the death of a man in Carlow have had their periods of detention exended.

The body of 41-year-old Gints Intembergs, who was originally from Latvia, was discovered at a house in the Graigowen estate in Tullow yesterday morning.

Although gardaí believe he was violently attacked on Monday night, they are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination to determine his cause of death.

A second man, who is also Latvian and who was found injured in the house is being treated at St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny.

Gardaí want to speak to anyone who was in the Graigowen, Gortnahowen or Slaney View Drive housing estates between 6pm on Monday evening and 9am yesterday morning.
