Gardaí in Mayo are continuing to question a man in relation to the deaths of two elderly brothers.

Gardaí in Mayo are continuing to question a man in relation to the deaths of two elderly brothers.

Officers said that the investigations are continuing after the bodies of the 68 and 70-year-old men were discovered in their home at about 7.30am yesterday morning.

It is believed the men suffered 'violent deaths'.

A 26-year-old man was arrested in Castlebar yesterday evening in relation to the incident.
