A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Emmet Connolly in Co Cavan.

A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Emmet Connolly in Co Cavan.

The body of the 32-year-old, who had been stabbed to death, was discovered at a house in at Lodge View in Cootehill in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A post mortem is due to take place at Cavan General Hospital today.
