Two men have been arrested by Gardaí in County Meath as part of Operation Thor.

The men - who are aged 31 and 41 - were detained when a 3-litre BMW was intercepted in the townland of Ratfeigh in Asbourne last night.

The car, which had been re-plated, had been stolen in the Dublin region last week.

A number of items used in the course of committing burglaries were also found.

The men are being questioned at Blackrock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
