Gardaí arrest two in Louth cannabis seizure
21/09/2012 - 19:07:41A man and a woman were arrested today following a drugs seizure in Co Louth.
Up to 3.5kgs of herbal cannabis, with an estimated street value of €70,000, was discovered at a house in Drogheda in a package originating in Nigeria.
In the course of a follow-up search a further 5kgs of cannabis was located.
The 42-year-old woman and the 30-year-old man, both from Africa, have since been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
