Two men have been arrested after gardaí seized more than €1m in cash in county Limerick as part of an ongoing investigation into organised criminal activity.

Two men have been arrested after gardaí seized more than €1m in cash in county Limerick as part of an ongoing investigation into organised criminal activity.

The cash was discovered during an operation yesterday afternoon when Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs and Crime Units searched a property at Portcrusha near Castleconnell.

Two men aged in their 40's and 50's were arrested during the operation.

They are currently been detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act at Henry St. Garda Station.
