Gardaí arrest man in bank probe

A man in his 60's has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularites at Anglo Irish Bank.

A man in his 60's has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularites at Anglo Irish Bank.

Gardaí from the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation carried out a search of a private residence this morning.

They arrested a man in his early 60's and he has been taken to Bray garda station for questioning under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The bank is refusing to comment on the arrest.
