Gardaí have arrested a man following a robbery which occurred at a premises on Parnell Square in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí have arrested a man following a robbery which occurred at a premises on Parnell Square in Dublin yesterday.

A man entered a premises and threatened staff with a bladed implement before fleeing the scene with an amount of cash at approximately 1.15pm.

A 36-year-old man was arrested a short time later close to the scene and an amount of cash was recovered.

He is currently detained at Mountjoy garda station.
