Gardaí arrest man after discovering firearm
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Dublin, after a gun was found in a car in the city centre yesterday evening.
The firearm and a number of other implements were discovered when Gardaí searched a vehicle on the North Circular Road at about 5.30pm.
They arrested the driver, who was the only person in the car at the time, and he was taken to Mountjoy Garda Station for questioning.
The man has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
