Gardaí arrest 25 in covert drugs operation

Up to 25 people have been arrested in Coolock in connection with a Garda investigation into drug dealing in the north Dublin suburb.

Up to 25 people have been arrested in Coolock in connection with a Garda investigation into drug dealing in the north Dublin suburb.

All of the people, arrested over the past 48 hours, have been charged with drugs offences and released to appear in court in the near future.

In total, 40 people have been arrested as part of this operation which is believed to centre on the dealing of crack cocaine and heroin.

The six-month covert operation which has dismantled a number of significant drug distribution networks operating in the Belcamp and Darndale areas.

During the course of searches carried out in the past two days cocaine, heroin, ammunition and large amounts of cash have been seized.
