Gardaí in Meath are appealing for witnesses to car crash that claimed the life of a young Brazilian man.

The 21-year-old was a passenger in a car that crashed into a wall at Garballagh, on the road between Duleek and Curtis' cross early Thursday morning.

He was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda but died from his injuries soon after.

Locals have said the man had been living in Mullingar since moving here.
