Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Dublin yesterday in which a 78-year-old woman was killed.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Dublin yesterday in which a 78-year-old woman was killed.

The two-vehicle collision took place on the Coast Road, Malahide at around 3pm yesterday.

The victim was fatally injured when the car she was travelling in collided with an other vehicle. She was taken to Beaumont Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A post mortem is to be arranged.

A 79-year-old man, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as stable.

Two women aged 22 and 59, in the second vehicle were also taken to Beaumont Hospital with non serious injuries.
