Gardaí appeal for witnesses to armed robbery


Gardaí are appealing for the public's help in locating a jeep which was stolen during a robbery in Limerick yesterday.

Three men, who were wearing balaclavas and were armed with a sledge hammer and a gun, forced their way into a house in Cappamore and tied up the owner.

The man, who is 29 years old, was tied to a radiator by the raiders.

The men stole a silver Wicklow-registered 00 BMW jeep from the premises.

Gardaí at Bruff are appealing for anybody who may have seen the vehicle to contact them on 061 382103.
