Gardaí appeal for witnesses in case of man found injured in Dublin

A man in his 40s remains seriously ill in hospital, after being found lying on the ground in Dublin's north inner city yesterday afternoon.

The man was discovered with head injuries at Gloucester Place and is receiving treatment in Beaumont Hospital.

It is not clear if he had been assaulted or injured himself in a fall.

The man has not been positively identified, but he is thought to be from Eastern Europe.

Gardaí at Mountjoy are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact them.
