Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a recent road accident in Dublin.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a recent road accident in Dublin.

The incident occurred at 7pm on Monday December 22 on Greendale Road, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5.

Anthony Burke, a 75-year-old pedestrian living in Briarfield Grove, Kilbarrack, was struck by a car and died the following day in Beaumont Hospital.

The scene of the collision has been technically examined and the driver of the car had been interviewed.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Greendale Road area of Kilbarrack last Monday to contact them at Raheny Garda Station on 01 666 4300.
