A man in his 50s has drowned in Dublin.

Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man drowns in Dublin canal

A man in his 50s has drowned in Dublin.

He entered the canal at Portobello at around 9.50pm last night.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards and removed to St James Hospital.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
