Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses after a man collapsed on the street and later died in hospital on Thursday evening.

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses after a man collapsed on the street and later died in hospital on Thursday evening.

The incident happened at around 5.40pm when the man in his early 40s collapsed outside a building on Guild Street and was helped back onto the footpath by a passserby and given CPR.

The man was then brought to the Mater Hospital but died later that night.

There were a number of people on the street at the time and Gardaí at Store Street are seeking their assistance in relation to this incident.
