Gardaí have been called to the Egyptian embassy in Dublin following reports of angry protests.

Gardaí have been called to the Egyptian embassy in Dublin following reports of angry protests.

A group of around 20 demonstrators are at the scene.

There are reports of some damage to property. It is understood the group is made up of a number of Egyptian and Irish citizens.

It comes as the Department of Foreign Affairs is investigating reports that four Irish siblings being held in custody in Egypt
