Gardaí have been called to the Egyptian embassy in Dublin following reports of angry protests.
A group of around 20 demonstrators are at the scene.
There are reports of some damage to property. It is understood the group is made up of a number of Egyptian and Irish citizens.
It comes as the Department of Foreign Affairs is investigating reports that four Irish siblings being held in custody in Egypt

The three sisters and one brother were taking refuge in a mosque in Cairo after violence erupted between supporters of the ousted President Mohammed Morsi and security forces.
