A major crackdown on drug dealing in Dublin city centre has been launched, to coincide with the lead up to St Patrick's Day.
In a recent four-day period, 304 people were searched and drugs found 42 times as part of a clean-up operation on both sides of the Liffey.
Gardaí from Pearse Street targeted addicts and street dealers who gather in groups in the main shopping areas and along the boardwalk by the quays.
Thousands of tourists will visit Dublin this week for St Patrick's Day and authorities want to make sure they are kept safe.
