Gallagher secures backing of Longford council

Dragon's Den panellist Sean Gallagher has today secured the preliminary support of Longford Co. Council in his bid to run for president.

Dragon's Den panellist Sean Gallagher has today secured the preliminary support of Longford Co. Council in his bid to run for president.

After a meeting this evening the council decided that they will give the 48-year-old their support when the presidential race is announced in September.

The council is the first to back the Cavan entrepreneur since he announced his interest in seeking a nomination in May of this year.

This afternoon Mr Gallagher addressed Clare Co Council in the hope of securing its backing.
