Fuel laundering plant discovered in Co Meath

Two men have been arrested after an oil laundering plant was uncovered in Co Meath.

The discovery followed a joint operation between Revenue and Gardaí this evening.

The plant had the capacity to launder approximately three million litres of fuel per annum, with a potential annual loss to the Exchequer of €1.5m.

The plant was dismantled and a quantity of fuel, ancillary equipment and three vehicles were seized.
