Four men being held by gardaí over a fatal shooting in Co Meath last Wednesday remain in custody this morning.

Four men being held by gardaí over a fatal shooting in Co Meath last Wednesday remain in custody this morning.

A fifth man also arrested after the shooting has been released, and a file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Thirty-year-old Peter Butterly was shot dead in the carpark of the Huntsman Inn in Gormanstown, before his attackers fled the scene by car.

A gun was recovered at the scene.
