Four hospitalised following Dublin stabbings

Four people are recovering in hospital this morning following three separate stabbing incidents in Dublin last night.

Four people are recovering in hospital this morning following three separate stabbing incidents in Dublin last night.

Gardaí detained a male teenager in connection with one incident, but are still seeking people in connection with the other two.

The first incident occurred last night at about 3am when an as yet unidentified man was stabbed on Oakland Avenue in Swords.

He was taken to Beaumont hospital, where his condition is being described as serious.

At 4.30am, a 19 year-old man was stabbed in McIntosh Park, near Cabinteely, on the southside of the city.

He was taken to St Vincent's hospital, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 16 year-old male was arrested in connection with this incident and is being held at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.

Two other men were hospitalised with stab wounds following an argument which occurred a short time later on Tubber Lane in Lucan.
