Four due in court after Laois hit-and-run
17/06/2007 - 13:55:17Four people are due in court tomorrow following a hit-and-run in Abbeyleix yesterday.
They were travelling in a Northern-registered car that collided with a jeep at about 10am yesterday.
The car fled the scene but was stopped by gardaí in Roscrea about an hour and a half later. The occupants attempted to flee but were stopped by gardaí and arrested.
The driver was questioned in connection with the hit-and-run while the other occupants were questioned in connection with recent burglaries in Co Cavan.
Three women and one man are due to appear in Balliboro District Court tomorrow.
A fourth man is due to appear in Nenagh District Court in July.
