Four arrested in connection with cash-in-transit van robbery


Four people have been arrested in relation to a cash-in-transit van robbery outside Jobstown Post Office in Dublin this afternoon.

One man, armed with what is believed to be a firearm, threatened a male staff member and took an amount of cash at around midday.

No shots were fired and the staff member was not physically injured.

A vehicle, a firearm and large quantity of cash were recovered during follow-up searches at a house at Cloonmore Green in Tallaght.

Three men and a woman, all aged in their mid to late 20s, have been arrested and are being detained at Tallaght and Rathfarnham garda stations.
