Tributes are being paid to former Minister of Post and Telegraphs Paddy Lalor.

Tributes are being paid to former Minister of Post and Telegraphs Paddy Lalor.

Mr Lalor also a former MEP and Minister for Industry has passed away.

An elected representative for the Laois Offaly constituency for 33 years he was also a well known Laois hurler.

Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin has paid tribute to him saying he had a long and dedicated career of public service.

He is survived by his four children, Frances, Helen, Veronica and Joe.
