Former Minister James Reilly has been re-appointed as the deputy leader of Fine Gael.

The Taoiseach made the announcement at the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party meeting this evening.

It is just a number of weeks after Mr Kenny informed the media that the now Senator was no longer his deputy after failing to hold his seat at the general election.
