Former HSE employee pleads guilt to theft charges


A former HSE employee has pleaded guilty to charges relating to the theft and attempted theft of over €170,000 from the HSE and it's suppliers.

52-year-old David Cooper, of Southern Road in Cork, was facing a total of 12 charges relating to his time as an employee at St Mary’s Orthopaedic Hospital in Cork.

Today at Cork District Court, Judge Con O’Leary noted Cooper’s guilty plea and remanded him in on bail - to appear at Cork Circuit Criminal Court for sentencing on February 11th
