A 21-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being seriously injured during a football match in Co Meath last night.

A 21-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being seriously injured during a football match in Co Meath last night.

The man, who plays for Navan Cosmos, was going for a ball when his head collided with another player’s knee.

The accident happened during a game at the Meath and District League Grounds on the Trim Road in Navan.
