Gardaí are continuing to question five men this morning in connection with a suspected gangland shooting in west Dublin on Monday night.
The five were arrested shortly after a 20-year-old man was shot in the stomach in the Cherry Orchard area of Ballyfermot.
He remains in a serious but stable condition at St James's Hospital.
The shooting was reportedly carried out by criminals involved in a bitter feud between rival drugs gangs in the Crumlin and Drimnagh areas.
The five men in custody are aged between 20 and 39, and are being detained at garda stations in Clondalkin, Ballyfermot and Ronanstown.
