Five people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a body in a lake in Co Clare last November.

Five people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a body in a lake in Co Clare last November.

The body of missing 17-year-old, Richard 'Happy' Kelly, was found in Lough Bridget, O' Callaghan's Mills, after he had been missing for 20 months.

In an early morning operation today, four men and a woman were arrested in the Limerick area.

The five, ranging in ages from 20 to 36, are being detained and questioned in garda stations in Co Clare.

Richard Kelly was last seen near Daly's Cross in the early hours of April 24, 2006.

His body was discovered on November 28 last and was formally identified using DNA testing over a week later.
