Fishing vessel detained off Kerry coast
The LE Aisling
An Irish registered fishing vessel has been detained approximately 100 nautical miles off the Kerry coast.
It is in relation to alleged breaches of fishing regulations and recording of catch.
The detention was made by the Naval Service Vessel the LE Aisling, west of the Blasket Islands at approximately 3pm this afternoon.
The vessel is currently under escort to Castletownbere and is expected to arrive there tomorrow morning when it will be handed over to the Gardaí.
