Dublin Fire Brigade is continuing to battle a large blaze at an industrial estate.

The fire broke out at the Oxigen Recycling Plant, Merrywell Industrial Estate, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, at around 3am this morning.

Due to the toxicity of the burning material and strong winds people are being advised to keep windows and doors of residences and business premises closed.

Up to 14 units of the fire brigade are currently fighting the blaze, which is producing some smoke, causing poor visibility on the nearby M50.

Dublin Fire Brigade have been working since early this morning to get the fire under control.
