A fire at a Cork city restaurant was being attended by Cork City Fire Brigade tonight.

A fire at a Cork city restaurant was being attended by Cork City Fire Brigade tonight.

The incident happened at Elbow Lane on Oliver Plunkett Street and at least three units of the fire service were at the scene after 10pm.

Patrons were also cleared from neighbouring commercial premises as a precautionary measure as the extent of the situation was being assessed by emergency services.
