The biggest political group in the European Parliament, the European People’s Party, will hold a major congress in Dublin next week.
During the event, the EPP, of which Fine Gael is a member, will launch its EU-wide campaign for May's European elections.
Around 2,000 participants are expected to attend the congress including the leaders of EU institutions, heads of state and government, party leaders, ministers and national and European parliamentarians.
It will also select the EPP’s candidate for the election of the President of the European Commission.
