Fine Gael has lost a significant amount of support in the latest political opinion poll.

Fine Gael has lost a significant amount of support in the latest political opinion poll.

The Millward Brown survey for the Sunday Independent shows 24% of voters would chose the party - when "don't knows" are excluded.

Support for both Government parties combined is just 31%. The poll also shows Fianna Fáil on 23% and Sinn Féin at 21%, both unchanged.

• Fine Gael: 24% (-5)

• Labour: 7% (+1)

• Fianna Fail 23% (—)

• Sinn Féin 21% (—)

• Independents & others 20%

• Socialist Party 2%

• People Before Profit 1%

• Renua 1%

• Greens 1%

The poll was taken between July 19 and July 30, with a margin of error of 3.1%
