Fine Gael backbencher demands abortion referendum
A Fine Gael backbencher is demanding a referendum on abortion.
That is despite the fact the Taoiseach told his Parliamentary Party there would be no such vote on the issue.
But James Bannon spoke in the Dáil this evening on statements on the report of the expert group on abortion.
The Longford-Westmeath TD who is self-declared anti-abortion said that the people need to be asked again:
