Fine Gael TD Liam Twomey has announced that he will not be standing at the next General Election.

The WexfordDeputy, who is also chairman of the Oireachtas Finance Committee, is citing family reasons.

He has thanked his family for their support, as well as Taoiseach Enda Kenny and party colleagues who have helped him throughout his career.
