Today marks the final full day of campaigning in the referendums on marriage and the age of presidential candidates before a broadcast moratorium takes effect.

People on both sides of the arguments have until lunchtime tomorrow to try to persuade voters over the airwaves to take their side.

Canvassers are urging voters to make the effort to get to their polling stations on Friday, where doors will be open from 7am to 10pm.

Some people in the country's hospitals, hospices and nursing homes have been casting their ballots for several days now, while voters on 12 islands will vote tomorrow.
